NEW DELHI: Chana prices rose by Rs 93 to Rs 3,627 per quintal in futures trade today as speculators enlarged their positions on rising demand in the spot market.

Restricted arrivals in the physical market also influenced the chana prices at futures trade.

At the National Commodity Derivatives Exchange, chana for April contract rose Rs 93, or 2.63 per cent to Rs 3,627 per quintal with an open interest of 45,140 lots.

Similarly, the commodity for delivery in May contract gained Rs 94, or 2.58 per cent to Rs 3,741 per quintal with open interest of 101100 lots.
