Chana futures soften 0.31% on weak demand
NEW DELHI: Chana prices softened by 0.31 per cent to Rs 2,891 per quintal in futures trade today as speculators reduced positions amid a weak trend in spot markets on subdued demand.

At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, chana for delivery in November traded lower by Rs 9, or 0.31 per cent to Rs 2,891 per quintal with an open interest of 16,530 lots.

Similarly, the commodity for delivery in October shed Re 1, or 0.04 per cent to Rs 2,830 per quintal in 4,040 lots.

Market analysts attributed the fall in chana futures to subdued demand in markets against adequate stocks position.
