Cashew prices rise on fresh buying

Buying by retailers and stockists against tight supplies from growing regions, mainly helped cashew prices to rise, marketmen said.

New Delhi: Cashew prices rose by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital on Monday largely on the back of fresh buying by retailers and stockists.

Tight supplies from growing regions also supported the upsurge in prices.

Cashew kernel No 180, No 210, No 240 and No 320 rose by Rs 5 each to conclude at at Rs 685-745, Rs 665-685 Rs 585-605 and Rs 505-555 per kg, respectively.

Marketmen said increased buying by retailers and stockists against tight supplies from growing regions, mainly helped cashew prices to rise.
