Cardamom futures stay weak, shed 0.32% on profit booking

At MCX, cardamom for delivery in June moved down Rs 2.60, or 0.32 per cent, to Rs 808.50 per kg in business turnover of 22 lots.

NEW DELHI: Extending losses for the second straight day, cardamom prices eased further by 0.32 per cent to Rs 808.50 per kg in futures trade today as speculators booked profits, driven by a fall in demand in the spot market.

At Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in June moved down Rs 2.60, or 0.32 per cent, to Rs 808.50 per kg in business turnover of 22 lots.

Likewise, the spice for delivery in July contracts shed Rs 1.30, or 0.16 per cent, to Rs 799.40 per kg in 16 lots.

Analysts said decline in demand in the spot market against adequate stock position mainly kept cardamom prices lower at futures trade.
