Cardamom futures gain 0.31% on spot demand

Analysts said fresh positions created by speculators on the back of rising demand in the spot market mainly influenced cardamom prices at futures trade.

NEW DELHI: Cardamom prices gained 0.31 per cent to Rs 940 per kg in futures trade today as speculators indulged in creating fresh positions on the back of improved demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in May rose by Rs 2.90, or 0.31 per cent, to Rs 940 per kg in a business turnover of six lots.

Likewise, the spice for delivery in April edged higher by 60 paise, or 0.06 per cent, to Rs 971.50 per kg in 184 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions created by speculators on the back of rising demand in the spot market mainly influenced cardamom prices at futures trade.
