Cardamom futures fall 0.42 pc on profit-booking
NEW DELHI: Cardamom prices fell by 0.42 per cent to Rs 705.50 per kg in futures trade today as speculators booked profits at prevailing levels amid subdued demand in the spot market.

Besides, adequate stocks position in the physical market following increased arrivals from producing belts also put pressure on cardamom.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in December fell by Rs 3, or 0.42 per cent to Rs 705.50 per kg in business turnover of 104 lots.

Similarly, the spice for delivery in January shed Rs 2.30, or 0.31 per cent to Rs 733.50 per kg in 113 lots.

Analysts said besides profit-booking by speculators at prevailing higher levels, subdued demand in the spot market mainly influenced cardamom prices at futures trade.
