Black pepper up on stockists buying
The wholesale prices of black pepper rose by Rs.100 a quintal in the national capital today on emergence of buying by stockists along with higher advices from Kochi.
Marketmen said increased buying by stockists in the wake of higher advices from Kochi mainly pushed up black pepper prices.
Black pepper attracted stockists attention and gained Rs.100 at Rs.14,400-14,500 a quintal.
Cloves followed suit and moved up by Rs.15 at Rs.240-295 and poppyseed variety like Turkey and U.P. also quoted higher Rs.10 each at Rs.500 and Rs.450-460 per kg respectively.
On the other hand, jeera common and dollar softened by Rs.100 each at Rs.10,000-10,500 and Rs.10,500-10,600 per quintal respectively on sluggish demand along with lower advices from Unjha.
