MUMBAI: Black pepper slipped at the Vashi wholesale market here today due to lower demand from exporters as well as retailers.

Meanwhile, ginger and copra prices ruled stable in the absence of any worthwhile buying support.

Black pepper eased by Rs 1/6 per kg to Rs 530/575 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 531/581.

Black pepper (per kg) 530/575 (531/581), ginger bleached (per kg) 205 (205), ginger unbleached (per kg) 215 (215), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 8,100 (8,100), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 8,000 (8,000), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 9,400 (9,400), Copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 8,800 (8,800).
