BIFR approves KSML merger with Balrampur Chini Mills

NEW DELHI: Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd (BCML) today said the BIFR has sanctioned merger of Khalilabad Sugar Mills Ltd with the company.

In a filing to the BSE, BCML said that under the modified draft rehabilitation scheme. The certified copy of the order of Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction (BIFR) has been filed with registrar of companies (RoC).

The BIFR's order copy has been filed with RoC in Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.

After filing of the said order with RoC, KSMPL merger with BCML. The said Scheme comes into operation from the appointed date April 01, 2012, it added.

Balrampur Chini, the country's second largest sugar firm, has sugar plants in Uttar Pradesh with a sugarcane crushing capacity at 76,500 tonne per day, distillery 320 kilo litre per day and co-generation 126 MW.
