Base metals rise on global cues
NEW DELHI: Prices of base metals rose by Rs 2 per kg at the local non-ferrous metals market today on fresh buying by stockists.

Traders said sentiments turned better after copper advanced in global markets ahead of release of credit data by China.

Meanwhile, copper for delivery in three months rose 0.8 per cent to USD 5,788 a metric tonne on London Metal Exchange.

In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and nickel (4x4) rose by Rs 2 each to Rs 400 and Rs 1,053-1,058 per kg, respectively.

Zinc ingot, lead ingots and lead imported were also enquired higher by a similar margin to Rs 116-122, Rs 106 and Rs 107 per kg, respectively.
