Base metals prices end mixed

The industrial metals rose at the London Metal Exchange (LME), on signs of resurfacing Chinese demand and a US recovery.

MUMBAI: In a lacklustre activity, select base metals prices ended mixed at the non-ferrous metal market here today on alternate bouts of buying and selling.


The industrial metals rose at the London Metal Exchange (LME), on signs of resurfacing Chinese demand and a US recovery.

Nickel rose by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,055 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 1,050 and copper scrap heavy, copper sheet cutting, brass sheet cutting also inched-up by a rupee per kg each to Rs 482, Rs 466 and Rs 335, respectively.

However, copper cable scrap, copper armiture, copper wire bar and zinc all softened by a rupee per kg each to Rs 488, Rs 471, Rs 516 and Rs 143.
