Base metals firm up on global cues
Base metals continued to trade higher at the non-ferrous metal market on the back of sustained buying by stockists.
Nickel strengthened by Rs 10 per kilo to Rs 1,130 from its overnight closing level of Rs 1,120 and copper sheet cutting also rose by Rs 6 per kilo to Rs 359 as against Rs 353 previously.
Copper scrap heavy gained by Rs 4 per kilo to Rs 370 from Rs 366 yesterday.
Copper cable scrap and copper wire bar both moved up by Rs 3 per kilo to Rs 376 and Rs 404 respectively.
Copper utensils scrap edged up by Rs 2 per kilo to RS 345.
Copper armiture, brass sheet cutting and lead inched up by a rupee per kilo each to Rs 359, Rs 263, Rs 110.
