Base metals ends higher on firm industrial demand

Base metals prices rose at the non- ferrous metal market due to sustained demand from industrial users coupled with stockists buying.

MUMBAI: Base metals prices rose at the non- ferrous metal market here on Friday due to sustained demand from industrial users coupled with stockists buying.

Nickel hardened by Rs 22 per kilo to Rs 1,112 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 1,090 and tin gained by Rs 5 per kilo to Rs 1,135 as against Rs 1,130.

Copper armiture, copper sheets cutting and zinc moved up by Rs 2 per kilo each to Rs 369, Rs 365 and Rs 124 respectively.

Copper cable scrap, copper wire bar and brass utensils scrap inched up by a rupee per kilo each to Rs 388, Rs 416 and Rs 259.
