Barley weakens on adequate supply

NEW DELHI: Barley prices weakened by Rs 30 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale grains market today on adequate supplies against reduced offtake by consuming industries.

However, other grains moved in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.

Traders said adequate stocks availability against reduced offtake by consuming industries mainly helped barley prices to shed moderate ground.

In the national capital, barley fell by Rs 30 to 1,320-1,330 per quintal.
