Barley prices rise on increased demand
Barley prices rose by Rs 20 per quintal on the wholesale grains market today on increased demand from consuming industries.

NEW DELHI: Barley prices rose by Rs 20 per quintal on the wholesale grains market today on increased demand from consuming industries.
However, rice basmati remained weak on subdued demand against adequate supplies.
In the national capital, barley rose by Rs 20 to Rs 1,270-1,275 per quintal.
On the other hand, rice basmati common and Pusa-1121 variety remained weak and lost Rs 200 each to Rs 7,500-7,600 and Rs 7,400-8,100 per quintal, respectively.
However, rice basmati remained weak on subdued demand against adequate supplies.
