VIJAYAWADA,: Andhra Pradesh Federation of Sugarcane Growers' Association has demanded minimum support price (MSP) of Rs 1,500 per tonne.
Speaking to reporters here after a meeting of the Association, its President Malla Padmanabha Rao said the government, which has to pay Rs 10 crore in arrears to the growers, should settle the dues at the earliest.

The production of ethnol, a by-product of molasses, should be encouraged by sugar factories, he stated.
