Marketmen said a weak trend in the base metals pack at the LME after China's factory-gate prices extended a record run of declines, exert pressure.

NEW DELHI: Aluminium futures fell 0.26 per cent to Rs 113.55 per kg today as speculators reduced positions amid a weak trend in base metals at the London Metal Exchange.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange ( MCX) aluminium for delivery this month lost 30 paise, or 0.26 per cent, to Rs 113.55 per kg, with a business turnover of 313 lots.

The metal for delivery in February also shed 15 paise, or 0.22 per cent, to trade at Rs 114.30 per kg in a turnover of five lots.

Marketmen said a weak trend in the base metals pack at the London Metal Exchange after China's factory-gate prices extended a record run of declines, put pressure on aluminium prices at futures trade here.
