Almond prices rose for the second day in a row to Rs 438.25 per kg, up 2.88 per cent, in futures trade today as speculators enlarged their positions supported by firm spot demand.

NEW DELHI: Almond prices rose for the second day in a row to Rs 438.25 per kg, up 2.88 per cent, in futures trade today as speculators enlarged their positions supported by firm spot demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, almond for delivery in June added Rs 12.25, or 2.88 per cent, to Rs 438.25 per kg, with a business turnover of two lots.

Market analysts said apart from increasing demand in the spot market for the ongoing wedding season, lower arrivals from producing region pushed up almond prices at futures market.
