NEW DELHI: Almond prices fell Rs 200 per 40 kg in the national capital today due to subdued demand from retailers and stockists amid increased arrivals from overseas markets.

Almond (California) prices fell by Rs 200 to trade at Rs 17,500 per 40 kg and its kernel rates also eased by Rs 5 to Rs 605-625 per kg.

Traders attributed fall in almond prices to sluggish demand from retailers and stockists at existing levels.

The following were today's quotations (per 40 kg): Almond (California) Rs 17,500 Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 8,000-8,200; Almond (Girdhi) Rs 4,500-4,800; Abjosh Afghani Rs 8,000-22,000.

Almond Kernel (California-new) Rs 605-625 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 500-540 per kg.
