Almond declines in futures trade on profit-taking

Almond prices fell by Rs 9.75 to Rs 370.25 per kg in futures trade today as traders indulged in booking profits at higher levels.

Almond prices fell by Rs 9.75 to Rs 370.25 per kg in futures trade today as traders indulged in booking profits at higher levels.

Weak demand in the spot markets also put pressure on the almond prices at futures market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, almond for April contract fell by Rs 9.75, or 2.57 per cent, to Rs 370.25 per kg with business volume of 2 lots.

Marketmen said profit-booking by speculators and weak trend in spot markets on subdued demand mainly attributed fall in almond prices at futures market.
