UTI Opportunities Fund declares tax-free dividend of 18 pc

MUMBAI: UTI-Opportunities Fund has declared a tax-free dividend of 18 per cent (Rs 1.80 per unit on face value of Rs 10). The record date for the dividend is July 1, a press release issued here today stated.

All unit holders registered under the dividend option of UTI-Opportunities Fund as on the record date will be eligible for this dividend, the release said. The scheme had earlier declared dividend of 15 per cent in July 2006 and 17 per cent in June 2007.

The NAV per unit as on June 24 was Rs 12.18 under the dividend option. UTI-Opportunities Fund was launched in July 2005 as an open-ended equity scheme.
