Indonesia raises $1.03 billion in debut panda bond sale

* Indonesia sold 5.6 billion yuan of three-year notes with a yield of 1.9% and 1.4 billion yuan of five-year notes with a yield of 2.19%, Suminto, the ministry's director general for financing, said in a statement late Thursday.
* Total orders for the bonds reached 17 billion yuan with a bid-to-cover ratio of 2.4 times, he added.
* Orders for the 3-year tranche were 12.38 billion yuan with a bid-to-cover ratio of 2.2 times, while orders for the 5-year tranche reached 4.62 billion yuan with a bid-to-cover ratio of 3.3 times, Suminto said.
* Settlement of the bonds is scheduled for July 30 this year.
* Panda bonds are yuan bonds sold in mainland China by foreign issuers.
