IDFC to raise Rs 2,171 cr via bonds

Construction project financier Infrastructure Development Finance Company said it approved a proposal to raise Rs 2,171.67 crore by issuing long term non-convertible bonds of Rs 5,000 each.

MUMBAI: Construction project financier Infrastructure Development Finance Company said it approved a proposal to raise Rs 2,171.67 crore by issuing long term non-convertible bonds of Rs 5,000 each.

The issue opens for subscription on February 28 and closes on March 16, IDFC said in a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The company plans to raise the funds under Trache 3 for which it approved prospectus, it said.

The company proposes to raise Rs 2171.67 crore via long term infrastructure bonds in the nature of secured, redeemable, non-convertible debentures, it said.

The bonds would provide benefits to the investors under Section 80CCF of the Income Tax Act, 1961, it added.

Shares of the company closed at Rs 143.30, down 0.14 per cent from the previous close on the BSE.
