Founded in 2008, FundsIndia is a digital-first wealth management platform that offers investment products including mutual funds, equities, insurance and other financial products.

Digital wealth management platform FundsIndia has raised Rs 44.6 crore through its first private placement of secured non-convertible debentures (NCDs), marking its entry into the corporate debt market as it looks to strengthen its technology platform and expand its investment offerings.

The issuance was led by the company's Private Wealth business and saw participation from accredited investors and high-net-worth individuals (HNIs). According to the company, the proceeds will be used to enhance its technology and platform capabilities and broaden the range of investment products offered across its retail, partner and private wealth businesses.

The fundraising comes at a time when affluent investors are increasingly allocating money to structured fixed-income products as they seek portfolio diversification amid evolving market conditions. FundsIndia said most of the demand for the NCD issue came from HNI investors looking to complement their equity and mutual fund investments with fixed-income instruments.

"Successfully completing our maiden secured NCD issuance shows the confidence investors place in the FundsIndia platform and our long-term vision. As demand for new fixed-income opportunities keeps growing, we remain focused on delivering solutions that help clients build resilient, diversified portfolios," said Akshay Sapru, Group CEO of FundsIndia.

Srinivas Mendu, CEO of FundsIndia Private Wealth, said the response reflected the growing appetite among HNI and ultra-HNI investors for curated fixed-income opportunities alongside traditional asset classes.

Founded in 2008, FundsIndia is a digital-first wealth management platform that offers investment products including mutual funds, equities, insurance and other financial products through its retail, partner and private wealth verticals. The company, which is majority-owned by WestBridge Capital, manages assets worth more than Rs 29,000 crore.
