FCI may issue bond worth about Rs 2300 cr tomorrow

NEW DELHI: Food Corporation of India is expected to raise about Rs 2,380 crore through bonds tomorrow from the market to meet its fund requirements for procurement and other operational expenses.
"We may issue the bond worth Rs 2,380 crore tomorrow. But it would depend on market sentiment, FCI Executive Director (Finance) J Srivastava said.
FCI earlier raised Rs 1,680 crore on October 1 through bonds, and had been confident to raise funds at competitive rates, he said.
A total of Rs 4,000 crore are to be raised through bonds during October-December quarter of the current fiscal, he added.
