Bharatpur National Park in Rajasthan is known for hosting Siberian cranes and migratory birds.

Kanha National Park in Madhya Pradesh houses tigers, birds and Barasinghas (a deer species known for its antlers), Jim Corbett National Park in Uttarakhand is home to Bengal tigers, Irrawaddy dolphins, rare birds and lush mangroves.

While there are many hotels and resorts near these national parks, families with an adventurous streak can opt for setting up camps instead.

While camping, one should always carry a first aid box for emergencies. Be careful not to carry prohibited items like alcohol, firearms or any inflammable substance to the campsite.
