Come to Ladakh to witness Lamas’ mystical land

KARSHA GUSTOR FESTIVAL (JULY 24-25,2014)

Get set to witness colours, music and dance with a message of victory of ‘good over evil’ at the Karsha Gustor Festival. It is celebrated at Karsha monastery, the largest monastery in Zanskar in terms of the resident months. Over 100 Lamas live here. At this largest Geluk-pa (Yellow Hat) monastery that is located on the slopes of Zanskar mountains, the Lamas offer friendly greetings to curious tourists. Once you are here, get set to cheer during a Black Hat Dance performance followed by a masked dance (performed by the monks).
