At Amangalla in Sri Lanka, beginning 1 September, 2007, there will be courses on Ayurvedic experience. With a choice of three, seven and 14 day programmes, guests will have the opportunity to revitalise and balance their energies, setting the course for a healthy future. Daily consultations, Ayurvedic treatments, all meals, daily yoga and meditation, and temple visits are included in the programme. On 28 September Amandari in Indonesia will host a cocktail evening and literary discussion, From India With Love in conjunction with the Ubud Writers & Readers Festival 2007. Featuring over 80 writers from 16 different countries, a six day programme of discussions, creative workshops, book launches, literary lunches and dinners, plus a free children's programme as well as poetry, theatre, film, music and dance, will revolve around the theme Sekala Niskala or the Seen & the Unseen. This year's festival will be held from 25-30 September, 2007. Authors will include Kiran Desai; Shashi Tharoor; the award-winning Australian author Richard Flanagan; Chinese journalist and author Xinran and the enigmatic Indian storyteller, Rana Dasgupta. Guests of Amandari will receive complimentary invitations to attend what is sure to be a stimulating literary evening. British Airways and Elemis, the luxury British spa and skincare brand, have signed a five-year deal. Elemis will take over the running of British Airways’ five current airport lounge spas in Heathrow’s Terminals 1 and 4 and New York JFK’s Terminal 7 and the supply of the in-flight Club World amenity kits from October 2007. The flagship spas will also be introduced within the airline’s new Terminal 5 home at London Heathrow airport in March 2008. Elemis has exclusively designed two levels of BA spa therapies for FIRST, Club World and Gold Executive Club members travelling on longhaul flights. The departure offering will aid sleep and relaxation and the arrivals treatments will re-awaken and energise the customer after their flight!
