Cox & Kings have announced packages for exquisite locales such as Egypt and Turkey. The package for Egypt starts from Rs 26, 999 onwards for 3 nights in Cairo.
This includes economy class airfare, single entry Egyptian visa charges, 3 nights stay with breakfast, coach transfers and sightseeing of pyramids & sphinx. This is valid till 31 Dec 2006.
For Turkey, the packages start from Rs 28,999 onwards for 3 nights in Istanbul inclusive of economy class airfare, single entry Turkish visa charges, 3 nights stay with breakfast, coach transfers and half day city tour. This is also valid till 31 Dec 2006.
Bolshoi, Mariinsky in London

For the first time, the greatest names in ballet, the Mariinsky (formerly known as Kirov) and the Bolshoi are in the same city at the same time: July and August in London. Their performance dates coincide with Big Dance, a week long celebration of dance organised by the Mayor of London, in partnership with Arts Council England to promote dance as a social activity and a physical activity, as well as an art form. The Bolshoi’s ballet 3-week season at the Royal Opera House from 31 July marks the 50th anniversary of its visit to Covent Garden in 1956. The company’s three-week season (preceded by a week of the Bolshoi Opera) will have 24 performances of 8 ballets.
Now Valery Gergiev and the Mariinsky theatre have announced their season at the London Coliseum from 20 July with a festival of Shostakovich’s provocative ballets and operas, as well as more classical productions. Tickets for Mariinsky Shostakovich on Stage range from £15-£80 for the ballet and £18-£115 for the opera. Tickets for the Bolshoi Ballet season range from £8.50 - £86, and for the Bolshoi Opera from £8.50 - £120.
