Deccan Festival

Where: Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh

Every year gracious Hyderabad comes alive during the Deccan Festival held from February 25 for five days. There are cultural programmes with ghazal nights, qawalis and mushairas, typical of the city. A pearl and bangle fair displays creations in lustrous pearls and multi-hued bangles that are local specialities. A food fest serves the best of Hyderabadfs famed cuisine to visitors.

The Great Kerala Food Championship

The Great Kerala Food Championship is designed to encourage your creativity to share your experiences with Kerala food in the form of an article written in English. You can submit articles on your Kerala cuisine experience or recipes you like most. While submitting your favourite recipe, you must also write why you like it. Prizes will be awarded in accordance with the judging committee of this competition.

Taj Mahotsav

A 10-day event, the Taj Mahotsav is a culturally vibrant platform that brings together the finest Indian crafts and cultural nuances. Starting on 18 February each year in Shilpgram, the Taj Mahotsav is a much awaited event. It is a festive introduction to India and Uttar Pradesh. Indiafs extensive arts, crafts and culture are on display. Folk music, shayari (poetry) and classical dance performances as well as elephant and camel rides, games and a food festival, all form a part of the festivities.

Gardening Workshop

When: February 23 (9 am - 4 pm)

Where: BNHS CEC, New Delhi

This unique Workshop by BNHS, the oldest environmental research NGO in India, aims to equip you with the knowhow to grow such useful plants at home. The Workshop will cover various techniques and hands-on training, required for growing plants at home, including composting.
