CHOCOLATE AND DELICACY FESTIVAL

Imagine a food festival where chocolate is found everywhere. The annual Chocolate festival in Gothenburg, Sweden is a must-visit for every cocoa lover. The three-day event is held with much fanfare. Chocolate producers from all across the globe come together to present more than 4,000 different flavours of chocolate, cup cakes, drinks and more.

NANDA DEVI RAJ JAT RATRA

When: August 18 - September 6 Where: Uttarakhand

The Nanda Devi Raj Jat Yatra 2014, a pilgrimage held every 12 years takes place from August 18 . September 6, 2014. Participating in the 280 km yatra that spans 20 days helps lot of devotees from across the world get a closer look at the culture, faith and geography of Uttarakhand.

The yatra originates from the Nauti Village, 20 kms off Karnaprayag Tehsil of Chamoli district of Uttarakhand after the Kunwar of Village Kansua inaugurates the ceremony.

OKTOBERFEST 2014

Germany is the place to be this season. Oktoberfest, known as one of the worldfs largest funfair held annually in Munich, Bavaria, Germany is back this September. The 16-day festival attracts more than 6 million people from around the world. To the locals, it is often simply called Wiesn, after the colloquial name of the fairgrounds (Theresienwiese) themselves.

The Oktoberfest is an important part of Bavarian culture, having been held since 1810. Other cities across the world also hold Oktoberfest celebrations, modelled after the original Munich event. So be there and be celebrate life!
