Solar weekend 2016

With a fabulous musical line-up featuring nine areas with house, techno, electro, dubstep, hiphop, jazz, reggae, soul, disco, pop and even classical, theres much action in store. Each year, Solar features a theme, this yearfs theme is Cinema.The theme is found all over during the festival. Go wild in the Wild West, go adventuring in raw Waterworld, enter the mental asylum of One Flew Over The Cuckoofs Nest or monkey around at the Planet Of The Apes. Solar Weekend frequently extends the theme to the festival website, with artists sharing favourite movie experiences monthly.

Vajdahunyad Castle music festival

When: July 4- 4 August, 2016

Where: Budapest

The Vajdahunyad Castle is a mock castle in City Park (Varosliget) that provides an ideal background to romantic summer evening concerts. The fortress is a copy of castle located in Transylvania under the same name. Besides being a cultural monument, the building gives home to the Hungaryfs Ministry of Agriculture and its museum. The concert programs includes a Klezmer Evening by the Budapest Klezmer Band, Tchaikovsky Evening by the MAV symphony Orchestra, a Romantic Evening by the King St. Stephen Symphony Orchestra, a Baroque Evening by the Hungarian Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra, Swing, Tango and Jazz melodies by the Mendelsshon Chamber Orchestra, and a few more.

Burning man

When: August 28- 5 September, 2016

Where: Nevada

Burning Man is a practice in community, an annual gathering of 65,000 eBurnersf who meet in the Black Rock Desert of Northern Nevada to create art, exchange ideas, and participate in the burning of the Man, a symbol whose meaning is as varied as the attendees themselves. From its early days on a small beach in San Francisco, Burning Man has grown from small groups of people gathering spontaneously to a community of over a million people. This year Burning Man takes place from August 28 - September 5. Participants join in the effort to co-create Black Rock City, a temporary metropolis dedicated to art and community.
