Anima 2014

Anima, the International Animation Film Festival will have over 200 screenings of all genres. The Festival started in 1982 to promote animated films from around the world. It also seeks to foster a dialogue between professionals, filmmakers and the public and to raise awareness of quality animation among film and television distributors. Hayao Miyazakifs The Wind Rises will be the opener for the festival and Aunt Hilda, by Benoit Chieux and Jacques-Remy Girerd, will close the festival. This year, Anima has chosen 143 films from thirty countries, with 69 short professional and student films in the international competition.

Where: Dudhwa, Uttar Pradesh

The Dudhwa Tiger Reserve is located in the Terai region of Uttar Pradesh, near the Indo-Nepal border, and comprises Dudhwa National Park, Kishanpur Wildlife Sanctuary, and Katerniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary. The reserve also houses some 10,000 bird species. The Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS) is organising a camp at Dudhwa Tiger Reserve, get ready to catch a glimpse of Sambar Deer, Hog Deer, Barking Deer, and Spotted Deer, Jungle Cat, Leopard Cat, Sloth Bear, Honey Badger, Indian or the Great Onehorned Rhinoceros can be seen here.

The Hong Kong Arts Festival (HKAF) showcases Asiafs top talents alongside leading artists from around the world. Heading into its 42nd run in 2014, the HKAF is one of Asiafs top cultural events, hosting a stellar spectrum of performances. The different venues for the festival are Hong Kong Cultural Centre, HK Academy for Performing Arts, and Hong Kong City Hall. There are various genres that can be witnessed such as classical music, Chinese music, world music,Western opera, Chinese opera, drama and dance. The festival includes concerts by each of Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra and Hong Kong Sinfonietta.
