We recommend taking a more traditional route through your travel shopping. Kochi in Kerala is known for its handicraft stores selling works in cane, coconut shell and clay.

Take your fill of black pepper, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, turmeric from Thekkady and Kochi. Buy some authentic Nilgiri Tea grown in the hills of Munnar, Thekkady and Wayanad. Kerala also grows some of the finest coffee in the world.

Most tourists suggest buy unbranded local coffee, because that is what the locals drink.
