-Now fill your dutiable goods customs form on-board: All airlines operating flights from international destinations to India have been asked to help flyers bringing dutiable goods fill up customs form on-board. The move, customs officials say, will check delay in payment of duty by such passengers and help in zeroing in on smugglers. As per rules, which came into effect from April, incoming passengers not carrying dutiable goods will not have to fill up customs declaration form. Earlier all passengers coming to India were to fill up these declarations. "We have asked airlines to help passengers in filling up customs form onboard. They have been asked to make flyers aware that those carrying dutiable goods have to fill up the form," said Vinayak Azaad, Additional Commissioner of customs at Indira Gandhi International Airport.

-Fresh snowfall in Gulmarg region. A respite for tourists: Fresh snowfall in the ski resort of Gulmarg successfully marked the Spring Carnival organised by tourism department as part of its efforts to increase the footfall of the tourists to the valley.



The snowfall added beauty to the carnival, 50km from the summer capital Srinagar, with a large number of tourists enjoying the snow flakes. In the carnival, Gulmarg was bustling with fun activities, which include a race with All Terrain Vehicles, and Ponywallas in the main bowl area. At Kangdoori, the race was organised for snow scooters and skiing and sledges, an official spokesman said. Activities took place amidst snowfall and tourists present on the occasion appreciated the efforts of the tourism department to organise such events.
