JHARKHAND TO SET UP ECOTOURISM AUTHORITY
Jharkhand government has decided to set up Jharkhand Ecotourism Authority to encourage tourism. It was decided at the Cabinet meeting,
chaired by Chief Minister Raghubar Das, an official release said. The Cabinet also approved the rules and regulations.

BENGAL GOVERNMENT PLANS ADVENTURE TOURISM
Bengal tourism is not just becoming visible on the tourist itineraries but also working on bringing in more punch to the package the state has
to offer. “We are also coming up with a special policy on adventure tourism in Bengal. It is in the drafting stage and will be finalised early next year,” said state tourismdepartment principal secretary A R Bardhan. “The adventure sports include altitude trekking, river crossing and rafting, mountaineering, rock-climbing jungle safari and hang-gliding and takes place mostly in places like Susunia, Mathaguru, Joychandi and Gajaguru,” said Ujjal Ray, adviser, mountaineering and adventure sports, state youth affairs department, government of West Bengal.
