Here's why you should spend this Holi in Mathura or Vrindavan!

Hindu scriptures have mentioned Mathura as the birthplace of Lord Krishna. It was in Vrindavan, where he enjoyed his childhood. To honour the favourite festival of Lord Krishna, both these spots hold celebrations including street plays, get-togethers and cultural shows. At the Banke Bihari Temple in Vrindavan, playing with colours is a spectacle where many tourists join in the revelry. Flowers are also used (Phoolon Wali Holi). You can head to Mathura to participate in the peaceful joyous procession that starts from Vishram Ghat and concludes at the Holi Gate. Also head to the Dwarkadheesh Temple in Mathura and say your morning prayers. The priests there will explain the true essence of Holi to further old friendly bonds with forgiveness.
