Tadoba's Andhari Tiger Reserve: A big delight for nature enthusiasts
The reserve has reported high number of tiger sightings in the recent past due to which the inflow of tourist is increasing every season.

A quick getaway from Mumbai is the steadily-gaining popularity in the recent past is Tadoba; Andhari Tiger Reserve. Located at a distance of 140 Kms from Nagpur it is one of the largest national park in Maharashtra. The name 'Tadoba' is the name of the God Tadoba or Taru, revered by the tribal people who live in the dense forests of the Tadoba and Andhari region (by the River Andhari).
This reserve has reported high number of tiger sightings in the recent past due to which the inflow of tourist is increasing every season. In Tadoba, we suggest, you enter from Mohurli Gate but try to stay at a location which is closer to Navegaon Gate (it is closest to the core area of the sanctuary) and you will save time in travelling to and for.

As nature enthusiasts know that spotting wildlife is a matter of sheer luck. However, we were fortunate to spot a tigress Maya at close proximity during our safari. She was basking in the sun near a waterhole to cool herself off from the heat.
