What should be expected of the modern travel advisor ? Allow Insignis Getaways to give you a sneak peak of how we plan our itineraries by laying out the activities in the first and final days of one of our signature trips.

As per our modus operandi , we had a brief chat with our clients as part of our multifaceted pre-trip experience where we meet them to get to know their needs better. The clients are a senior couple celebrating their retirement seeking out a travel experience tailored to their preferences in order to feel truly celebrated and pampered. Being well-travelled individuals, they would never have reached out to us unless they felt there was more they could expect from their trip than what was already offered in the travel industry, and we were very excited to oblige! Taking into consideration their specific requirements, here is a glimpse at the type of itinerary we came up with.

FIRST DAY

Our clients land in the Seychelles at around 10 AM on a sunny morning . They are immediately greeted by their personal chauffeur, who also happens to be one of the top rated tour guides in Seychelles and is an expert in the region. The team at Insignis Getaways have briefed our tour guide completely of the nitty-gritty details of our client's needs and preferences. They are escorted to our selected property in Seychelles (which will remain unnamed here as per our policy) where they check into their luxury suite overlooking the beautiful Indian Ocean.

Following a very personalized lunch (all the meals are vegan, as per the clients dietary requirements), the travelers can choose to partake in an optional visit to the Botanical Gardens in Mahe for a romantic saunter. Unless, they would rather rest after their journey, in which case, a late-evening picnic would be set up on the edge of the surf at Beau Vallon beach for our clients to bask in the beautiful white sands or have a spalsh in the clear blue waters.

When the landscape of Iceland showed up in a Bollywood movie some time back, many were prompted to ask if the sequence was shot on location, or if the backdrop was a result of computer generated graphics. That’s how unreal Iceland can be. The popularity of this European nation has been on a steady rise, prompting a national discussion about applying curbs on the number of tourists permitted to visit. Best to tick this one off the bucket list, before your name slips on to a waiting list of visitors.

True, the country has a checkered past, enmeshed in a long history of violence. But nothing like tourism to change a nation’s image and fortunes. Earlier this year, the country’s tourism department signed a multi-million dollar branding deal with English football club Arsenal, putting the country’s tourism tagline on player jerseys. The deal quickly became controversial as Rwanda is one of the world’s poorest countries and marketing monies are frowned upon. But soon the number of UK visitors surged, claimed officials. Something did the trick. Either the campaign, or the country’s stunning national parks and wildlife.

But by itself, Vancouver, a west coast seaport in British Columbia, is not just one of Canada’s densest, most ethnically diverse cities, it is also a thriving metropolis with a buzzing art, music, food and theatre scene. Surrounded by mountains, it isn’t too hard on the eyes either.
