The Karwendel is one of the best known hiking regions in the Alps and it looks different depending on the season of your visit. In the spring time, there are rare flowers dotting the meadows of the Karwendel Alps. In fact, Spring time is a good time to try hiking if you are beginner. During the Summer season, the Karwendel meadows are covered by gentian. The alpine rose blossom is admired as well during this time of the year.

During Fall, the leaf colour on the big maple plain turns golden and it's a fabulous time to go clickety-click with your camera in tow.
