Rafting or paragliding? The choice is yours!
Here’s a list of places (by no means definitive) to visit for adventure sports in India.

Subansiri
State:Arunachal Pradesh
The 300-mile long Subansari is one of the largest tributaries of the Brahmaputra. With no road following the river on either side of the Himalayas for almost 150 km, it extends a quite difficult terrain with vertical rock faces and only sparse habitation along the river. This is a demanding, high volume, fast-flowing, and adrenalpumping river set in a scenic breathtaking environment.
Barapole
State: Karnataka
The Barapole river in Coorg offers most challenging whitewater rafting opportunity. The actual length of this run is between 3 and 4km. It’s a river that vibrates with frothy white rapids at the onset of the monsoon. When all rivers are flooded, Barapole offers ideal rafting opportunity. During summer it is merely a stream one can walk through. The entire rafting session lasts about three hours.
Dandeli
State: Karnataka
The Dandeli rafting trail stretches for around 12km, making it one of the most exciting and exhilarating stretch of rafting. Navigate over bumpy rocks, narrow passageways and whooshing surfs of the Kali River to take full advantage of this energy packed experience. This adrenaline-charged trip downstream takes one through the rapids and lasts for almost one and a half hours.
Kullu-Manali
State: Himachal Pradesh
Barring rains and winters, whitewater rafting can be enjoyed in the river Beas throughout the year in Kullu Valley and Manali. The ideal 20 km stretch from Manaki to Jhiri near Bajaura en-route Manali from Bhuntar is one of the best stretches for rafting in India.
Paragliding spots
Pavagadh
State:Gujarat
Pavagadh Hill is situated within a plain in Panchmahal district, Gujarat. Situated 800 metres above the sea-level, this place offer a great experience on paragliding. The Pavagadh Hills in Satpura Range can be reached at the top by two ways, including by walk or by ropeway.
Pawana
State: Maharashtra
Situated near the Pawana Dam, it is one of the best sites to take off as it offers a panoramic view of the river Indrayani and the town of Kamshet. With massive PaWana lake in front, it also becomes one of the exalting experience while gliding over the pristine lake.
Bedni bugyal
Beautiful hilltops, grasslands and mountain ranges of the Kumaon region make the perfect backdrop for a paragliding experience. In fact, it is the most beautiful meadows in India providing beautiful views of the Trishul peak. Kumaon is about 270 km from Delhi. The best time for Bedni Bugyal paragliding season is September to May.

Yelagiri
State:Tamil Nadu
Yelagiri Hills is one of the top flying destinations in South India. It’s a 3-hour drive from Bengaluru or Chennai. The hills are ideal for various adventure sports and quite a few paragliding events and festivals happen here.
