Push your limits: Visit Patagonia, Rotorua and Yllas to conquer its rugged terrain with breathtaking views
PATAGONIA Regions: Argentina-Chile Located in southern Argentina and Chile, Patagonia is a large windswept region, relatively untouched and remote. There are five main towns in Patagonia that serve as entry points to the various parks that make up this region: El Chalten, El Calafate, Puerto Natales, Punta Arenas, and Ushuaia. Keen hikers flock in the summer months when Patagonia is at its best. Move through these either north to south, or vice-versa, the small city is a good place and there are many outdoor adventures to do in the surroundings. From Ushuaia go directly to El Calafate or to Punta Arenas, Chile, on to Torres del Paine. El Bolson and San Martin de los Andes are quite nice places close to Bariloche. Overall, they’re all small sleepy mountain towns so don’t expect anything beyond the basics, but you’ll find hostels, grocery stores, and hiking-camping gear stores in all of them.

In short, the key highlights of Patagonia include Torres del Paine National Park, the Perito Moreno Glacier and the most southerly point of South America, Ushuaia. Patagonia is actually a pretty safe area to visit for solo female travellers.
