Plan a group trek with your friends and family to the Valley of Flowers
So, you’ve heard of the famous trek to the Valley of Flowers and the legend behind it of being discovered on a lost path by British traveller Frank Smith in 1931. As we approach the months of July-August (most conducive months for the trek), we suggest you pack your bags and make a plan to undertake this unique trek to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the picturesque Valley of Flowers.

Valley of flowers

The Himalayan peaks stand witness to the beautiful blooms in this tranquil valley, situated at an altitude of 3,858m. This is the season when a multitude of wild flowers including Lillies, Poppies, Geraniums, Petunias, Sediams grow in abundance and paint the entire valley into a colourful blanket of aromatic blooms. And naturally, several species of butterflies and insects follow here in search of some nectar from the flowers.

Tips to trek

- Acclimatisation is key to a good trek of varying altitudes. Your friends may take lesser time but you must understand the pace of your own body and take adequate time.

- It is easy to get lost mid-way if you start photographing every wild growth you spot. Listen attentively to the trek instructor. This will ensure a safe time ahead for you.
