Ladakh, a mystical land of famed passes, is one of the highest visited tourist destinations in India, especially with biking and four wheeler groups. This cold desert is located over 3,000m above the sea level. It is here when the scenic beauty of the Himalayan range and the Karakoram Mountain ranges simply mesmerise the rider endlessly.

Once you have planned to tour the Ladakh valley via Manali, get set to cover a distance of over 490kms. Riders who have taken this route give a handy tip to carry Indian currency, spare tyres, water and food in plenty. A photographer’s delight, on the Manali to Leh road trip, get set to meander through high mountain passes, hair pin bends and of course some friendly helpful locals who giggle as they pose for photographs with you.

We suggest you don’t hurry your trip to make to the destination as the journey itself is so beautiful. Make sure you ride during daylight and rest during the nights. You can tour villages and participate in their simple lifestyle of several hardships unknown to the urban dwellers. Stop by at the monasteries, ancient trade routes, quaint eateries to take a quick bite.
