Midnight summer fun: Why Finland has become a favourite with Indian travellers

Apart from fun activities for kids, Finland has lots to offer Indians. We met Marko Hiltunen, Spa Hotels Operations, Director, Holiday Club Resorts, Finland who braved the Mumbai traffic and met us. What does Finland have to offer Indian travellers?

There is something for everyone in Finland. The good news is that there are three direct flights from Delhi to Helsinki and slowly that number is set to increase. There are several reasons to visit Finland. To name a few: Aurora Borealis, Midnight SuN, Finnish sauna, Clean lakes, Wild nature, Ski resorts and routes, Finnish design and the real Santa Claus.

Which is the best season to visit?

Finland is a year round destination. And the best thing is that there are several adventure activities for each season. For instance, summer here is kayaking, archery, reindeer farm visit, canoeing, hiking, boat trips and more. Also the midnight summer is a great experience. In the winters there is husky safari, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing and more.
