Make friends on the go

Your journey will seem a bit incomplete if you don’t end up making new buddies on the way. Here are a few places where you can strike up a conversation.

STAY IN A HOTEL

It is one of the easiest ways to make friends, hands down. Stay in a hotel or resort instead of a serviced appartment to bump into like minded people. Soon you’ll be sucked into the, “Where are you from? Where have you been? How long are you travelling?” series of questions.

MAKE FRIENDS DURING TRANSIT

Every single time you are on multi-hour transportation, make a friend. All you need to do is brush up on some ice breakers to strike up a conversation. When you’re stuck in one place for hours, friendships have a way of forming by themselves!

GROUP TRIPS AND EXCURSIONS

Are you into adventure sports activities or are you a book lover? Whatever your passion, you can use it to make new friends, that too with similar interests. You can also enroll yourself to learn something completely different and meet people with diverse hobbies.

FIND YOUR COMMUNITY ABROAD

Being part of a global community or international organisation really helps meeting up with potential members. If you don’t have a community, it could seek company with a friend of a friend or a family friend.
