The Classic New Zealand Wine Trail is a fabulous road trip that spans across top wine regions – Hawke’s Bay, Wairarapa and Martinborough.

Studies show that together these three regions make for almost 80 per cent of wine production (well, who’s complaining).

Start your drive from Hawke’s Bay. Along the wineries, you can find gourmet stores where fresh produce and artisan products can be purchased.

In Wairarapa region, vineyards are located within close proximity. You can park your car and then walk ahead to explore the lush scenic surroundings. Gladstone and Masterton are other wine sub-regions.
