It is located in the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas in Assam. Known as a haven for bird watching, it is especially popular for the sighing of the Great Hornbill, along with Ibisbill, Ruddy Shelduck, Common Merganser and the Eurasian Woodcock. The Eurasian Woodcock is one of the rarest birds to be spotted here. The Jia-Bhoroli River that sustains this national park attracts many birds and animals. Bird watching while rafting along the river is another preferred way to spot rare birds.
