This region boasts of more than 150 diverse and innovative eateries, along with a reputation for award-winning Pinot Noir. Local chefs are passionate about the regionfs produce, and seasonal menus are often inspired by Fresh Whitebait, Venison, Cardrona Valley Merino Lamb, Wild Pheasant and locally-grown vegetables and fruits.

- The Boiler Room has a very good drink selection as well as some tapas to go along with it.

- Surreal is known for its great quality, service and attentive staff. We suggest book a table on the rooftop bar for a memorable evening.

- The Bunker is a cosy bar, the staff is extremely friendly and the food favours game, red meat and local produce.


After dark, Queenstown slips into party mode. Bars and clubs often have live music or a DJ, pubs are cosily friendly and restaurants give you all the flavours

- Chard Farm is a small family owned winery located close to Queenstown,Central Otago. Established in 1987, they are one of the pioneers of wine in Central Otago. They specialise in single vineyard Pinot Noirs. The winemaking philosophy is driven by the premise that people enjoy drinking interesting wines rather than tasting special wines.

- Gibbston Valley Winery has an interesting wine cave and tasting tours where you can visit Home Block, the regions oldest vineyard, do a tasting in the wine cave and catch a glimpse of winemakers in action. Time to get merry!
