Zimbabwe is distinctive in Africa for its large number of medieval era city ruins built in a unique dry stone style. It is said that the most famous of these are the Great Zimbabwe ruins in Masvingo, which survived from the Kingdom of Zimbabwe era. Other ruins include Khami Ruins, Zimbabwe, Dhlo-Dhlo and Naletale.
Exploring the wildlife
Jungle safaris are a major attraction with Indian travellers. And women groups have a great time exploring safari highlights. There are several safari areas in the Zambezi Valley below Kariba Dam, where elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, and all species of antelope are to be found. Controlled game hunting is also offered at some places wherever the authorities allow such sport. These are open from the beginning of May to the end of September.
